I’m sure you know the feeling. You get home to see that a book you ordered has finally arrived. And what a feeling that is! You picked out the book you wanted. You ordered the book. You tracked the book. Then you open the package and…”oh no!” Sometimes its the wrong book. Sometimes its not a book at all. My school’s librarian once ordered a book for the library from Amazon and got Nerf darts instead. In this case, I got fire kindling. Such are the risks of buying 30 year old books online. But, when the seller advertises it as “Very Good” you would at least expect it to have all of the pages attacked to the spine! It is a paperback book that remarkably lies perfectly flat between pages 135 and 138…That’s right there is no longer any 136/137. Thankfully, in our digital age, we have come up with a solution. I will now have to mail this book-which belongs in the trash can-back to the book seller in order to get a refund.
