How may we know that the Bible is the Word of God? There are, of course, many reasons for believing this. The Bible itself evidences its Divinity so clearly that he is without excuse who disbelieves it. It bears within it the marks of this Divinity. Thus, its subject matter-its glorious doctrine of the living and true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, of man’s fall into sin and of the wondrous redemption which God has wrought for man-clearly and cogently testify of its Divine origin. The same is true of all its other incomparable excellencies. They are without parallel in any other writing, and show most convincingly that the Bible is in a unique sense the Word of God.
